Fees & FAQ's
Fees & Insurance

Deeper Roots Therapy accepts private-pay, most Blue Cross - Blue Shield plans and CBHA insurance. We cannot accept BCBS plans purchased on the private exchange (ACA plans) at this time (Blue Value & Blue Local).

We file claims on behalf of our clients and collect co-pays and deductible fees at the time of service. For clients with other types of insurance, we can generate an out of network benefits bill for you to turn into insurance directly.

Our private pay rates range from $125- $175 for intake, and $125-175 for follow up sessions depending on the clinician you work with. Our interns and students also offer lower-cost sessions. Please contact us to set up an appointment and answer any fee questions.

Good Faith Act:

Effective 1/1/2022, a new federal law called the “No Surprises Act” was enacted. This law requires us to provide you with a “good faith estimate” of the total cost of your treatment. Estimating the total cost of psychiatric and psychotherapy treatment is very difficult because the course of treatment varies for everyone. The law requires us to make this estimate prior to completing an assessment which further complicates things. In psychiatry and psychotherapy, there are only a handful of CPT codes (billing codes) that can be used and the prices for those codes may vary by practitioner (please note; intern rates are greatly reduced).

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. Our practice manager will provide you a document outlining your rights and estimated fees.
